Lugar bello y conocido es sin duda una forma de expresar, como es este lugar. Más conocido por sus paletas y fiestas, que por el nombre que lleva del primer gobernador de nuestro estado de Colima.

Es el lugar donde se cuentan las leyendas y los mitos, que nuestros padres y conocidos nos contaban de chicos. Es el clasico pueblo grande, donde todo mundo te conoce o cree conocerte; como "Aaaaa!!! eres hijo de fulano, como no conocerlo si somos compadres" o "si tu eres el hijo de Felipe Cruz, nuestro presidente" o el clásico "aaa ya se quien eres, pos como no, te pareces a tu tio". Si no es que tuviste un pariente en politica, por lo menos alguién de la villa te habla por su naturaleza, chacotera de politica, porque es el tema de platica.
